Tennis Court Maintenance
Effective tennis court maintenance isn’t just about appearance, it’s about protecting your investment. We identify early signs of wear and apply tested solutions that keep your court safe, consistent, and durable.
Over time, tennis and other sports courts can become infested with algae, moss and dirt that has either accumulated from the air or from foot traffic.
Established in 2011, Dragon Courts is the UK’s leading court maintenance company. Our professional teams are unrivalled in delivering a first-class service. While tennis court maintenance is our speciality, our services extend to other hard sports environments, including basketball and netball courts. We are also equipped to meet the challenging demands of playground maintenance.

Court Services
Why Is Tennis Court Maintenance Important?
A lot of issues on tennis courts stem from a lack of regular maintenance. Depending on the surface type and the frequency in which they are used, we recommend an annual service.
Each court is prone to different issues; for example, private courts may have moss and vegetation growth due to being in the shade, but they invariably receive minimal use compared to publicly accessible tennis courts. Public tennis courts, on the other hand, are more susceptible to wear and tear, non-tennis use, and vandalism.
Different surface types have their own specific upkeep and care requirements. Tarmacadam courts need regular crack sealing and surface levelling; polymeric rubber surfaces require debris removal and periodic top-up of infill; and synthetic grass courts necessitate brushing, infill redistribution, and regular moss or weed control.
Tennis court maintenance tackles general upkeep, preventing shaded areas from remaining wet, clearing blockages in drainage holes, and addressing slippery or dangerous surfaces. In the long term, these measures will minimise the need for expensive resurfacing, while improving court safety and enhancing performance to help retain serious tennis players, and extend the lifespan of your court.

Our Tennis Court Maintenance Process
Patch testing
We will perform a patch test in one corner of the court to determine a suitable pressure for each surface.
Debris removal
The whole court will be swept with a specialist floor cleaner to remove all debris and washed with water to dislodge all algae, dirt, and moss.
Pressure wash cleaning
All dislodged dirt will be pressure washed away, with a suitable nozzle - established in the first step.
Treatment
The entire court will be sprayed with a professional-grade moss & anti-slip treatment.
Surface repair (if needed)
Our team will then perform any repairs necessary.
Repainting and re-lining
We always recommend cleaning the court before painting, as our tested cleaning process often rejuvenates the court. If painting is still necessary, a clean court will allow better results.
Final checks
Our team will perform final checks to ensure the court is maintained to the highest standard.
